Korres Hair Care

I have been using this product a little over a month and I have noticed tremendous results. Five weeks ago I got a weave and I wouldn't be without it but one thing I worried about was looking after my hair and the damage it would cause. Not to mention only being able to wash the hair once a week..yuck! The Korres shampoo & conditioner in Almond & Linseed have worked wonders on not only my natural hair, but it is great with hair extensions and has so far kept them smooth and silky.

The scent is to die for and the texture of the product is light and doesn't weigh down your hair. For some this would be quite pricey, I know I wouldn't often rush out and spend a mini fortune on shampoo and conditioner but for something as essential as this and after years of abusing my hair with home dyes and dreadlocks I felt it was about time for some TLC. The almond and linseed is perfect for dry/damaged hair and prevents split ends, I have also found my hair is easier to style. I love the fact a little goes a long way with this product after a month of use I am only half way through the bottles so I find it great value for money as well as a miracle cure for my damaged locks.

There is only one downside I have found with this product and I must say its totally personal preference and altogether petty on my behalf, I would like it if the packaging was the same, that's it I know a bit pathetic to only have one issue but honestly, I am in love with a great product.

Has summer finally arrived, we can never be too sure here in Wales so you have to make the most of it, you might only get a few hours of sunshine for a whole week so it's imperative you get out there and have fun. I have made a few decisions this week, big ones so my mind has been elsewhere for a while but I'm back on top form and promise I will be back with daily posts.

I had a wonderful week off, I feel like I had escaped the madness but unfortunately I am now preparing to return to five night shifts every week for the next month. I am not happy, I feel like I am in a rut right now, I am not sure how I will pull myself together. The first part of my week I decided to relax, knit, bake and visit my family. You will not have heard me mention my Dad on here and I wasn't intending to but recently we met and I'm not sure if it's too late, but it's a start.

This weekend my man friend came to visit and we had the best time, being so far away from each other makes us enjoy the time we do spend together. We spent the day wandering along the river in Chester and Adam gave my brother a lesson in skateboarding. Then we went for a meal and had some scrummy Vegetarian Italian. I even had a go on a Penny skateboard, I'm not great but it's pretty.

I've been having a rather hectic week, what with work and blogging deadlines but I captured all my favourite moment as usual on Instagram. This week will see my first ever blog post go live on the Oxfam Fashion website, I can't contain my excitement to see my little face up there but I'm also racked with nerves.


This week I drank lots of tea and soya chocolate milk, I had some wonderful new glasses and received a little something from Dainty Roses. I indulged in some rather scrummy cake before curling up alone in bed with the delightful Humphrey and Ingrid to remind me true love really does exist somewhere, Casablanca, "Here's Lookin' at you Kid" Oh and I posed for some fashion fun.

My week in photos.

This week has been rather hectic, I started my new job and did my first shift, I had forgot what it was like to be a working girl. I seriously wish I could do this full time, I get so much from writing and reviewing for you guys, It's not just a hobby to me anymore it is much more. 

The wonderful feed back I have received lately is heart warming & has inspired me to keep going and build my blog more everyday. I have recently had some exciting opportunities to work with some great companies and blog for them, I would love to start guest posting on other blogs but I wouldn't know where to beginning, if you folks have any advice or would like to talk about guest posting please get in touch, it would make me smile.

I have so many reviews to post but I have been away for a few days at Martha's house so be prepared for an over load this weekend. I have just downloaded an app (disposable) for my iPhone & I am in love with it so here are some of the images I have captured lately!

The best thing I have discovered this week is ALCOHOL FREE Kopparberg, I can still enjoy the taste with out actually getting drunk. Oh in two weeks I have lost 7lbs from cutting out meat & alcohol. It is really making me feel so much healthier, I am really proud of myself.

A story of my life in film.

In early December on a weekly jolly to Oswestry I popped into my favourite Vintage shop possibly in the whole world Second Home. 

Owned by Sarah and her husband this quaint perfectly presented haven is home to all the gems left behind. I could spend hours distracting Sarah from her work, she is so open and friendly, over the years I have purchased some lovely items from her, my latest purchase was a handful of buttons and a beautiful head scarf, but anyway back in December I purchased a 1972 Ricoh 500 ME 35mm camera, we weren't sure of it's condition, but at £12 for a beautiful camera, original leather case and Sarah then threw in a detachable flash, I just had to have it! 

I have been snapping away and as always I let my films pile up, so this afternoon I finally took them in to be processed. I wasn't holding out much hope for my beautiful new accessory but low and behold I managed to actually get some great shots. Now I must profess I am neither a camera boffin or a technical geek so some are a little sketchy but I think that adds to the wonder of using 35mm.

I now have a new bedtime read which is the Ricoh 500 ME Manual so hopefully my next collection of prints will have a slight improvement on these.

Bow Madness.

Another story about bows.

I love staying at Martha's (not only is she Henry's sister but she's a really good friend of mine) We have wonderful days out and we always go thrifting (first picture of me without my dreadys :( still have some sneaky ones at the back) We stay two nights a week in their beautiful cottage, which they are currently renovating IT IS AMAZING!  We pretty much eat, drink tea, watch Henry on Video Games and knit, in Laurie Land I would be doing this everyday if I could.

So enough about my life story, here is the new edition to my collection, these teeny tiny olive green bows measure 5cm in length, I'm planning on putting them on bobby pins and hair elastics.

I also had a successful day thrifting in Ellesmere. 

My New Leather Sewing Case 40p.

Beautifully thin and frizzy wool and teeny needles to work with roughly about 50p for both, had such an amazing day, the quaint town of Ellesmere in situated in Shropshire, I love it! Filled with locally produced butchers to an array of inviting charity shops, I was in my element. The picturesque houses are ultimate chocolate box, thatched roofs to Georgian terraces. Sash blooming windows EVERYWHERE!  (the small things in life eh?)

So this evening I have been giving a knitting lesson to Martha, just how to cast off but it was so much fun, we spent hours sat while the boys played video games. 

I have been taking orders this week, so if you have a favourite colour, wool type or size preference, just let me know I'm happy to try it all!!
