I can't help from crying, I wish you were mine

After coming to terms with the new found me, I embraced my week and enjoyed the simple things around me, reminiscing the good old days over scrummy food and cocktails and dancing into the early hours. Bad news seemed to be a running theme of my week but I realised life will at times deal us a bad hand, this is to make us re-evaluate our decisions and take stock. Patriotic mugs of tea and a dose of oh comely comforted me while I worked.

Saturday afternoon saw me attempting to style my new barnett and failing miserably, I just can't do anything with it and I can feel my confidence dipping once again. As a family we visited my Great Grandmother who turned 96 last month, an inspiring strong woman with an infectious sense of humour a woman, one day I aspire to be.

This week I have enjoyed familiarising myself with the new afterglow app, it's great!

Just to prove to myself that this nana can get down with the best of them I let my, now none existent hair down and enjoyed myself for the first time in a while. Rekindled an old flame in the form of White Russians and spent quality time with my bestest friend.

Okay so I need to explain, I have allowed my rinse to fade over the last few weeks, this is due to the fact I have been working two jobs. I have been trying my very best to even have a social life right now and as this Thursday night is my very last night shift I am getting very excited about the new times to come. 

A month ago I was offered a job working at a magazine, exciting times!

So these are a few snaps from the last few weeks, working two jobs has been so hard so I haven't really been able to eat properly, just grabbing things when I can but I enjoyed making some homemade falafel balls with wedges. Daughter has really kept me going on long journeys, and of course the odd bit of thrifting is the perfect way to unwind on a day off.

Has summer finally arrived, we can never be too sure here in Wales so you have to make the most of it, you might only get a few hours of sunshine for a whole week so it's imperative you get out there and have fun. I have made a few decisions this week, big ones so my mind has been elsewhere for a while but I'm back on top form and promise I will be back with daily posts.

I had a wonderful week off, I feel like I had escaped the madness but unfortunately I am now preparing to return to five night shifts every week for the next month. I am not happy, I feel like I am in a rut right now, I am not sure how I will pull myself together. The first part of my week I decided to relax, knit, bake and visit my family. You will not have heard me mention my Dad on here and I wasn't intending to but recently we met and I'm not sure if it's too late, but it's a start.

This weekend my man friend came to visit and we had the best time, being so far away from each other makes us enjoy the time we do spend together. We spent the day wandering along the river in Chester and Adam gave my brother a lesson in skateboarding. Then we went for a meal and had some scrummy Vegetarian Italian. I even had a go on a Penny skateboard, I'm not great but it's pretty.

I've been having a rather hectic week, what with work and blogging deadlines but I captured all my favourite moment as usual on Instagram. This week will see my first ever blog post go live on the Oxfam Fashion website, I can't contain my excitement to see my little face up there but I'm also racked with nerves.


This week I drank lots of tea and soya chocolate milk, I had some wonderful new glasses and received a little something from Dainty Roses. I indulged in some rather scrummy cake before curling up alone in bed with the delightful Humphrey and Ingrid to remind me true love really does exist somewhere, Casablanca, "Here's Lookin' at you Kid" Oh and I posed for some fashion fun.

Instagram #4

This last week has been a roller-coaster I can tell you. Last weekend I spent the weekend at the beach with the wonderful Adam, it was lovely we walked along the beach (even though it was cold) set up camp in the dunes, drank wine and listened to eighties music it was perfect! Then as soon as Adam left for the long journey back to Ipswich I started to feel a little under the weather, two days later I was straight to the DR's with raging tonsillitis. The weather this week has been wonderful and being laid up in bed has been unbearable. After one whole hour sat out in the sun with my house mates I now not only have tonsillitis but now I am also treating severe sunburn. owch!!

This next week can only get better, Adam is coming to visit & it's my BIRTHDAY. Extremely excited for my jubilee themed garden party and the being whisked off again camping along the north coast of Wales.

Blue Rinse @ The Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon.

A story of the beauty nature creates.

At the weekend while have a gathering with friends we decided that this week we would have an adventure. So today we planned to take a drive a few miles away from my home town to a beautiful natural beauty called The Blue Lagoon. It is the remains of an old slate quarry and over time has filled up creating a beautiful blue pool in the centre. The properties in the slate (please correct me if I am wrong) have dyed the water a dazzling milky blue and on a sunny summers day the views are breathtaking. And breathetaking can only describe the hike we had to make to get there, I have just realised how unfit I am, back to yoga next week it is for me.

I am such a lucky lady, today I got my first ever Apple item, I am now a proud owner of an iPhone 4s I am super happy. I can't believe the quality on the camera, it is 8mp!

I had the best day & I have to say my friends are truly the greatest, thank you Eliot for saving my life! Oh if you like art and things check Eliot's page he is rather good.
