Dress - Vintage // Lips - Rimmel Apocalips in Big Bang

Spring has sprung and I couldn't be happier, there is still a nip in the air but the sun is shining and I have been able to wear my favourite vintage sunglasses and a lighter jacket. I have all my uni deadlines due in during the next two weeks, four presentations, yes that's right FOUR! I am actually a shy person in person and the thought of standing up in front of people for 15 minutes make me feel physically sick!

I already have a new favourite dress this month which I found hiding in the back of my wardrobe, this combined with the Rimmel Apocalips in Big Bang is perfect. I'm not usually one for a high neck line but somehow this just works. I am in need of a pampering session however, I need a day to myself so I can dye my hair and treat myself to a mani and pedi. It's almost the dreaded time where we have to expose our winter white legs and pasty arms. We should all devote our time to preparing for the chore of exposing this summer, time to slim down and tan slightly.

Empties | Products I've Used Up

I really feel I'm getting into the swing of filming YouTube videos, after the daunting prospect that this is actually just me talking to a camera alone in my bedroom became slightly less weird I realised I rather enjoyed it. Really I'm just adding more things to my to do list but hey ho, the feedback I've had so far has been positive and I'm happy to announce I am a bit addicted. For my third video I wanted to do something that I really enjoy watching and that's an empties video.

I'm forever trawling through YouTube to see what products people have used up and whether they enjoyed them or not. The ones I've included in this video are products I have repurchased and some I didn't really give a chance *slap on the wrist*.

Hope you enjoyed it and don't forget to click like and subscribe.

Blue Rinse @ The Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon.
A story of the beauty nature creates.

At the weekend while have a gathering with friends we decided that this week we would have an adventure. So today we planned to take a drive a few miles away from my home town to a beautiful natural beauty called The Blue Lagoon. It is the remains of an old slate quarry and over time has filled up creating a beautiful blue pool in the centre. The properties in the slate (please correct me if I am wrong) have dyed the water a dazzling milky blue and on a sunny summers day the views are breathtaking. And breathetaking can only describe the hike we had to make to get there, I have just realised how unfit I am, back to yoga next week it is for me.

I am such a lucky lady, today I got my first ever Apple item, I am now a proud owner of an iPhone 4s I am super happy. I can't believe the quality on the camera, it is 8mp!
I had the best day & I have to say my friends are truly the greatest, thank you Eliot for saving my life! Oh if you like art and things check Eliot's page he is rather good.

DIY Knitting Needle Cases.
A story of the best DIY a girl can do.

My close friend Martha volunteers at one of our local charity shops in the beautiful village of Llangollen in North Wales a few times a week, a great way of getting crafty tips from some of the more mature ladies of the village. They know everything there is to know about crafting and they do love to share. As most people know Martha is Henry's sister so we tend to descend on them at least twice a week , Martha and I craft while the boys play video games.

The beautiful village, Llangollen.

We love exchanging hints and tips on new crafty finds, this week Martha showed me how to create a beautiful knitting needle case fashioned from on old neck tie. I was intrigued.

And here it is...

Simply measure the length you will need, cut to size, turn inside out and sew up the end. Either with a sewing machine or by hand which ever you find easiest. Sew on a jazzy button (this was one of my thifty finds today) Make a loop and voilĂ  it's as simple as that.
Few insider hints and tips, the centre seem you can see here on this picture was only lightly stitched, so as I turned it inside out it fell apart. Run it through on the machine, just in case one of your needles goes astray. I have a feeling I'm going to be going DIY case mad. I have always wanted to find a use for all those flamboyant neck tie's you find in charity shops and this is just wonderful.
