I could never dance with another one

Dress - Thrifted (£3) // Sandals - Atmosphere but thrifted  (£1.99) // Lips - (£1) Primark

This is by far my all time favourite summer dress, you will probably see me in this a lot over the next few months. I picked this up at a local charity shop this time last year and I instantly fell in love. My love for inanimate objects i.e dress is now becoming obsessive. I am worried I have a serious problem. Oh well some people spend their money on make up or partying, mine just so happens to be all three, oooops!

She's honey all over

Dress - Vintage (Belt Included) // Scarf - Auntie Shirley's // Sandals - Primark (thrifted) // Lips - £1 Bargain from Primark
I've been having a little break lately (possibly the worst time, since I'm shortlisted to win Best Thrifty Blog at this years Company Style Blogger Awards) but I had to submit my final pieces of work for the end of my first year of uni, which I can now breathe a sigh of relief as it all over, that's me done for the summer. I have been a little down lately too, not sure wether that has something to do with the extra pressures of getting my work in on time (something I have never been very good at - time keeping) I have been attempting to de stress, but it's proven more difficult than I first anticipated. I need a holiday, somewhere fun and pretty, with plenty of adventures. Today I dusted off my 35mm camera and went out for a little walk to the stream, the sun shone and I felt relaxed for the first time in at least two weeks.

If you took to me like a gull takes to the wind...

Spring has finally sprung, for sure this time and I couldn't be happier. I get to wear pastels and open toe sandals at last, I'm not a huge fan of summer but this year I am very much looking forward to the exciting adventures my friends and I are cooking up. I have a pretty busy few weeks lined up what with Focus Wales and Creative International as well as starting my new job and having a mini break to Cardiff with my best girl Christy to see Ludovico Einaudi, I am officially fully booked. I love a good bargain and I managed to bag a hotel for £67 between us and cheap rail travel (this never happens to me usually) SO any sightseeing suggestion welcomed!

my name is Eileen, boy that's all you need

Shirt - Vintage St Michael's // Maxi Skirt - Primark // Belt - Vintage // Cardi - Vintage Auntie Shirley
Lipstick - Rimmel Kate Moss 107

This last week has been a strange one, plenty of time to reflect. Not a drop of alcohol has somehow given me a clear head. I'm organising, rearranging and preparing and I'm excited. I'm on top of my Uni work, creating a regular blogging schedule and attempting to get fit, oh and somewhere amongst all of that, this year I plan to meet my future husband, someone pass me the gin, I'm delusional. January is always filled with good intentions, let see how long they last and how quickly I can bag Jason Segel.

I cried a tear because of you

I haven't done an outfit post for months and now I have my new camera I decided to share with you some recent finds. I instagramed this dress last week after receiving it from Ebay, you guys seemed to love it and lets just say it went down a storm on what's becoming a regular Friday Gin Night.
I'm forever scrolling through Ebay finding bargains, but this believe it or not only cost me 1p, I know I couldn't believe it either. Here I've just teamed it with a vintage cardigan from my Auntie Shirley and some zip detail boots.

Fujiyama Mama

Still feel too fat to wear trousers, but these are rather jazzy!

1960's Peter Pan

Although I have a week off, today I am attending a course and for once the people at work will get to see that I can actually make somewhat of an effort. The hideous bottle green tunic is less than attractive believe me.

Dress ~ Ebay
Sandals ~ Primark

As soon as I saw this dress I had to have it, I loved the burnt orange and the bird print, only trouble was I had found a lonely return in my local Primark & MY Primark weren't stocking it, I was due a trip to Liverpool but my busy work schedule meant I just couldn't make the time & I HAD TO HAVE THIS DRESS! So a few weeks ago on my birthday my mum surprised me, there it was, beautifully wrapped in Boofle Wrap, I was over joyed. The weather hasn't been that great since my birthday so I haven't had a chance to wear it until today.

Purple Haze

Hello Waist, Where Have You Been Hiding?

I realise that I have been somewhat lacking in the outfit posts of late, I have been working super pants shifts this month and it seems I haven't had a minute to myself. I've also moved back to my momma's casa to save some pennies, not quite sure what my plans are for the future but London is calling and this time maybe just maybe I will get there.

Living in a small town in North Wales, I often have to travel to uncover the homeless hidden gems, but a few weeks ago I was in the right place at the right time and hey presto for once I found something that wasn't vinyl or a casserole dish.

I found this dress in my local Oxfam, which I have to say is awful, the lack of stock and poor location  make it less than appealing to passers by. In January I applied for the role of Manager and the plans I had were endless but unfortunately due to funding they had to withdraw the position. I shed a tear or two. This branch is seriously suffering. This Primark dress was just three squids. I loved the pattern as soon as I saw it, the combination of the purple and yellow work so well together.

My lengthy battle with depression and junk food seems to finally be over, gone are the days of binging, the nasty meds that were forever increasing my apatite and my smile is now a permanent fixture. I am thrilled to announce I am over half way to my ideal weight goal.

OOTD

Afternoon Delight.

Dress & Belt - Primark
Coat - Thrifted (Salvation Army)
Tights - Primark
Boots - Primark
Head Scarf - Thrifted

I purchased this dress while visiting friends in Manchester, I was more than certain that they wouldn't have it in my local Primark so I snapped it up as an impulse buy, I wasn't sure at first but after a few attempts at styling it I realised I didn't mind my arms being out or the fact it has buttons, this OOTD is all about Primark I'm afraid, but these bits and bobs just happened to fit perfectly together.

Happy Mother's Day Everyone.

Today I am a Huffy Henry.

Today I am a Huffy Henry.
A story of a girl disappointed constantly.

So currently on the job front, well lets put it this way, it's just not. It's so depressing, waiting around to hear from people, or emailing so many different jobs and not getting any sort of reply. I'm actually losing the will to live! I would love to start my own business and work for myself, but unfortunately I need money behind me to do that. The one job I was really holding out for was based in the Wrexham Area, it sounded perfect, working as an Educational Assistant in one of our local National Trust Houses, Erddig. As a child I would visit there at least 10 time during the Summer Break with my Grandmother, I know the history of that house better than anyone I know, but today was the closing date and the last opportunity I had to hear anything from them, today is not a great day.
Although I did cheer myself up and bought some Super Cosy Tights from Primark a new jumper from Oxfam and lots of cheap 35mm film. We were hoping to take a long walk around Erddig Gardens today but the weather here this week is just so cold we decided a quick dash into town and then back home to a hearty dinner and snuggles and films, cause lets face it when we miss out on something we really want, we like to mope around and sulk for a while, I am only human and I think I deserve to after all my hard work over the last few months and for it only to amount to nothing.
The only option left for us now is our Plan B, Move to the big city, Henry can become famous and I can become a lady of leisure....hmmm watch this space.
