Make Up Monday (On a Thursday)

Todays post is a little bit behind schedule. I had a nightmare on Sunday, my Macbook Pro decided to break. I was mortified. I was simply updating it when and 'unexpected error' occurred, I was on the verge of tears. My macbook is less than 12 months old and uninsured. Anyhoo to cut a long story short one of my friends, Jamie, who is a whiz with computers talked me through the recovery mode and low and behold it worked, everything was still there. I did a little dance, I'm not going to lie. So that was, in a round the houses way of saying I apologise for this post being a bit late. I was planning to stick to my new strict schedule, now everything is a little bit behind but never mind.

I love lipsticks, that's no secret but this time of year I tend to get a little bit anxious, it's time to try bold, bright out there colours. Two weeks ago I reviewed a daring plum shade, which was completely out of my conform zone, you can find that post here.

I had heard of Smooch through another blog and their review was glowing, so I decided to give it a go. When I saw the name crimson red, I thought bring it on. The packaging instantly grabbed my attention, it had that vintage style that I love. The lipstick itself is nice, i wasn't that fussed on the shape of the top, I found it hard to apply (maybe my lips are a bit small.)

The colour is vibrant and sexy and it glides on effortlessly. With the change in weather I have to be very careful products don't dry out my lips. I found this product extremely moisturising and it lasted hours. This wouldn't be a day to day colour for me, but over the festive season, I can see this being a firm favourite. This would look perfect with a sleek black dress and a messy up-do.

So who's having a Christmas gathering? Pop your invites in the post, I look forward to showing this bad boy off.

Don't forget to let me know your favourite shades this season, I have ventured into unknown territory and I like it. Tweet me @mybluerinse
