heaven knows, it's got to be this time

Dress - eBay // Belt - Vintage // Lipstick - Topshop in Infrared

I have not long arrived back from a whirlwind weekend in Liverpool, some good friends of mine where heading off on an around the world trip and we had a gathering to say goodbye, it was so lovely to see everyone and enjoy some interesting coloured cocktails, my favourite had to be Aunt Edna's Blue Rinse, can't imagine why.
The night was eventful to say the least, I ended up jigging to an Irish folk band, complaining about the rain, chatting with new friends and drinking in a back street pub which resembled someones living room. I also went for the most amazing but filling breakfast, to line my stomach for the evenings escapades, I'm heading back there tomorrow to do a review so keep your eyes peeled. All in all I had an exciting weekend, I had forgotten how much I had missed Liverpool and the night life has certainly improved. Not so hot on the charity shops but what do you expect from a city centre. I'm slightly excited and would definitely like to spend more time exploring what the city has to offer, someone take me to see pretty buildings, lets eat breakfast in animal themed cafes and dance in the presence of Sinbad.

Festival No6

I can't quite believe the amazing weekend I had at Festival No6, I most defiantly left my head in the tent that's for sure. The incredible surroundings teamed with classic head liners and wonderful friends made this the best festival I have ever been to. Trudging through the mud in lace up welly boots I realised there was no where else on earth I would rather be. Being Welsh many of my childhood outings consisted of family days out to Portmeirion but I never thought it could have been made any better. The running theme for the whole weekend focused around the 1967 TV Series The Prisoner, the hypnotic scenery and eclectic mix of art and music made it perfect for young and old alike. Although the camp site was rather hilly we didn't care, the booze was flowing and the rain was pouring. Soggy feet and dripping hair made it all the more fun as we spent the afternoons adventuring or dancing around to remixed swing. The evenings saw host to some of Britain's most impressive acts, Primal Scream and New Order delivered a jaw dropping set and the Brythoniaid Male Voice Choir raised a few hairs with their rendition of Blue Monday.

she may contain the urge to runaway

This weekend has been full of sun, sounds & cider. For years I felt the less time I spent in my home town the better, but just lately I have been surrounding myself with the beautiful scenery, my wonderful friends and some cracking live music.
We enjoyed a late lunch at the idyllic setting of the Alyn in Rossett, the fact we're both vegetarian can prove difficult as there is usually only one option on the menu but we had a choice of four mouthwatering mains.
Haloumi!
oh comely
On Saturday evening we were lucky enough  to attend the album launch for Golden Fable - A local band, who's music can only be described as unique, the breathtaking venue of St Giles stands tall over the town. With ears full of song and our bellies full of wine we headed home for what seemed to be an early night but 1am these days leave me feel rotten for a number of days to follow, I must be getting old!
Ice Cream in the Park.
I took the opportunity to get snapping today when I attend a local gig, held by one of my good friends. The vintage gems were everywhere , so it gave me the perfect chance to get chatting to new and old friends who's fashion choices should be celebrated.

My Three Muskettes.

My Three Lovely Ladies.
A story of my love for my three feathered friends.

They are not for everyone but I just love my wonderfully noisy trio. Every morning I am greeted with a high pitched squeak, I greet them we have a little chat, they peck at my feet and my hands in a playful way, they throw water over me and usually do a poo right where I'm about to walk, yes my ladies have awful coop etiquette, but all that aside they sure brighten up my day.
Rita, Cilla & Ruby have been with us since October, they are the most wonderful pets to keep, low maintenance and daily rewards, which are yummy.
Right now we have more eggs than we know what to do with them.

Cilla, Rita & Ruby. (excuse the dirty coop crocs)
We keep one egg in there so they know where to lay.
 Cilla is the noisy one.
Three beautiful, clean eggs everyday. Omelette for lunch anyone?
Oh yeah, I really feel for ladies out there in the cold, this is my pond, totally frozen over again, poor little fishy's, still no sign of snow, every year it's the same, the whole country seems to be covered and at a standstill and Wrexham just keeps plodding on, oh well!

A little more incite into my little family and my pretty mundane life.

One Thousand Eight Hundred Second Weekend.

Whatever your plans for the weekend, you have to make time for yourself. Whether you have invited the family round for a Sunday Roast or the kids have a birthday party to attend - take some time for you. Make a cuppa, close the door and put your feet up, let the music absorb your pores and sigh out all those woes of the week. An eclectic combination of powerful inspiring music, to help you unwind, relax and maybe even make you dance around the room. This music gives me tingles I hope to pass it on each week, on a Friday, to give you all that couple of minute to let go.

The main feature in this weeks One Thousand Eight Hundred Second Weekend is Lisa Hannigan.
Remember the velvet tones of Damien Rice that a few years ago threw us into a depressing spiral of wonder. Hidden in the harmony was Lisa Hannigan, someone whom I now find myself drawn back to time and time again. After the Success of her first album Sea Sew in 2009, we have now been graced with Passenger her second album released in October 2011. The mix of fiddle and the wonderful use of percussion we are opened to her Irish influenced use of instruments. A must listen. Easy folk melodies infused with creative lyrics makes Lisa my favourite this week.
