After a week of feeling rotten, I really wanted to give myself a bit of TLC. So this morning I pampered myself with all my favourite natural skincare products and took my time getting ready. I ran myself a hot bath, used my favourite Antipodes face mask and used a deep conditioning treatment on my hair. After a week of the flu, every part of me was crying out for help.
I've never really been one for changing up my make up routine and without my signature winged liner my face feels naked. Having said that I've been using a few new products on a day to day basis and thought I would share this simple Autumnal look with you guys.
During the summer I always gravitate towards a mineral foundation but find with the change of season my skin needs a little extra boost and unfortunately I haven't been able to achieve this dewy look with anything but a light weight liquid foundation. After a trip to my local Boots I was almost rugby tackled by the lady from the No7 counter. I was only browsing the Essie stand but had some time to kill and decided to take her up on her makeover offer. Within a few minutes my face lit up and I was surprised at how 'glowing' I looked.
I put this down to the perfectly paired No7 Stay Perfect Foundation in the shade Calico and the Instant Radiance shimmer Bronzing Stick. The foundation is lightweight and so easy to apply, I tend to always use my fingers to apply my foundation but I'm on the hunt for a decent foundation brush as I feel I'm wasting some of the product. I then applied the No7 shimmer stick to all the areas I wanted highlighting. Cheek bones, chin, centre of my nose etc.
My most recent find has been the Professional Liquid Eyeliner from Korres, I have always been faithful to the Rimmel eyeliner but since I've taken huge steps to only use natural products I have been on the look out for my favourite dupes and if I'm honest this product is actually better than the Rimmel Exaggerate. The felt tip wand is perfect for creating a bold cat eye look. It's so easy to use and I have used it every single day so far. And as I'm in desperate need to get my eyelashes tinted I needed a good black mascara that would give great coverage without looking clumpy and this month I have been using the Organic Volumising Mascara by Aeos. The packaging is great and it does exactly what it says on the label.
After having a poorly week my lips really needed some hydration and after using the Lush lip scrub I was still in need of something to keep them supple and crack free. I have always loved the Lip Butters from Korres and the pomegranate one has a great colour which is perfect for Autumn.
