OOTD

Away with the Fairies.

Today I wanted to share with you something that is very close to my heart, quite literally. You may have noticed my necklace I wear in everyone of my pictures. It is a modern take on the friendship necklaces. A broken heart or a puzzle piece that you would share with your best friend. Each of you would wear one half to symbolise your friendship. In my case I wear a pair of fairy wings and two dainty stars on a delicate silver chain.
A gift I received from my mother on my 21st birthday & since that day almost two years on I haven't taken it off. It represents a friendship that I will never forget, a friendship that shaped me into the person I am today, the best friend I lost to cancer two years ago. Are initials are engraved into the wings and stamped very carefully on the stars, having this around my neck keeps a little piece of Faye with me all the time.
My Fairy Princess who is flying high now, soaring, making a difference.
As I very rarely wear a V-Neck  this dress highlights the only special piece of jewellery I own, thank you wonderful thrifty dress.

Hairy Growler is the comically named company where Les Anderson turns discarded antique's into wearable wonders. Using only 100% recycled raw materials the people behind this will weave wonders & turn a pre 1919 English coin into an inspiring piece that will be sure to get you noticed.
Over the last two years I have been constantly asked where I purchased my necklace and I am proud to say that this is a one of a kind, specially made to cater to my needs.
Thank you to everyone at Hairy Growler for creating my own work of art that keeps Faye close to my heart.
